Metalheadz Sunday Sessions

A place where tracks became classics and DJs earned superstar status, there’s no mistaking Metalheadz’ legacy.

Up until the early nineties, London's Shoreditch district was a industrial suburb unrecognisable from the thriving nightlife centre it is today. That all changed in 1994, when a club showcasing the best in British break beats launched: Metalheadz turned Sundays from a day of rest to a night of rave. Led by drum ’n’ bass figurehead Goldie, whose ‘Timeless’ album was about to drag his scene into global mainstream view, the weekly sessions at the now-defunct Blue Note club quickly became the place to be seen spinning records for the genre's biggest stars and newest pioneers, from Dillinja to Photek. For Revolutions In Sound, the Metalheadz boss will bring along the new generation of label cohorts as well as deadly vocalist SP:MC.
