A select cast of UK garage OGs show why their soulful sound from the 90s is more relevant than ever before.

If you were into R&B or garage during the late 90s, there was only one place to go: TWICEASNICE at The End, with DJs like Steve ‘Smooth’ Sutherland, Trevor Nelson and the Dreem Team putting the work in behind the decks, for a champagne-quaffing, Moschino-wearing West End crowd. It spawned a successful compilation series and regular events in Ayia Napa and Ibiza, growing into one of the world’s most celebrated urban music brands. The club celebrated its twentieth anniversary in Ibiza this year, and still throws events in the UK. But its legacy also lives on in clubland’s 90s R&B and garage resurgence, where the old TWICEASNICE anthems have been given another lease of life for a new generation.
